Candida Diet Recommendations

When paired with the right remedies, a commitment to the basic principles of the candida diet will yield good results in a short space of time. Some recommendations are strict AND there is lots of room to be optional, also.

 

DO NOT EAT:   SUGAR of any description, including in fruit juices.

WHEAT or YEAST products, e.g. bread, cake, pies, pastries, biscuits, cereal, flour, bran, semolina

FERMENTED FOOD STUFFS, e.g. alcohol, vinegar, pickles, condiments, soya sauce, mature cheeses

 


GOOD TO EAT

 

All vegetables (potato in moderation)

All salad greens

Fresh herbs in abundance

Herbs and spices

Avocado

The following FRUITS ONLY:

Pawpaw, grapefruit, green apples, lemon

100% sourdough rye bread

Ryvita biscuits

Oats (rolled oats, oat cakes, OatsoEasy plain)

Maltabella (sorghum) porridge

Corn (popcorn, mielies, mielie meal, maizena)

Millet

Tapioca

Sago

Quinoa

Rice (incl. rice cakes, rice pasta)

Olive oil

BRAGGS unfermented soya sauce‘

‘White’ cheeses: ricotta, goat’s cheese,

mozzarella, feta

Yoghurt (‘white’ = unsweetened, natural)

low fat dairy products

Legumes

Sea vegetables: Nori, Wakame, Dulse

Almonds (vacuum-packed)

Hummus (chickpea pate)

Organic meat, free-range chicken

Fish (uncrumbed)

Potato crisps (lightly salted)
