Pumpkin Seeds are popular with peeps who are on the Green Diet, a wonderful chlorophyll-rich detox (see recipes). We often recommend this cleanse for the folks who come on yoga trainings with us. It'll lighten and brighten you, detoxyour system and flush your body and bloodstream with healing oxygen.
In addition, they are highly regarded as healing to the urinary system (for both men and women) and for men as libido-boosting because of phosphorous (good for circulation), zinc (needed for prostate health and making testosterone) and magnesium (for both muscle contraction and relaxation, hallmarks of healthy musculature). Magnesium is also for heart function. The amino acid Myosin is an essential component for strong muscular contractions and energy and the Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for optimum heart health.

How to use it :
- Grind them to a powder in the blender, mix with kombucha, herb salt and freshly chopped herbs and let sit at room temperature for a day - it'll be a naturally tangy, vegan 'cream cheese'.
- Roast them gently in a pan on medium for 7 minutes, turning often. Take away from the heat, let cool for a minute and 'seal' with a dash of soya sauce. To snack on or even sprinkle on a slice of bread and butter - superb!
